Hi all, this is more of a "what would you do in my shoes type thing" i have an option now to get another gtx580 or to get watercooling system for my current gtx580. The watercooling system cosists out of a pump, pipes, regulator, 240 radiator and all the other esentials except the liquid, but thats cheap. Anyway the graphics card is a nvidia gtx580 standard version and the price difference is about 150-200 dollers if i convert our currency into dollers. Now I allready have a gtx580 so i want to know if i should get the fancy watercooling and overclock my current 580 or sli two 580's . In my opinion the watercooling looks awesome and i like the pipes and so on. But i never had watercooling before and not shore how effective and safe it is. But i also want to sli so it kinda goes both ways. The difference is that for the watercooling i will need to cut some major holes in my case bottom. Oh and there isnt space for both...

Thank you, and i'd apreciate if someone that knows and has watercooling can give me some pro and cons and same for someone that sli'd before.

Hello there. If you are working with 3D softwares, rendering models etc... will be good to buy another one 580.
If not, I'll say to take that water cooling.

My opinion. ;)

I see that you have pretty good configuration. Just for games, hm... I don't know the power of 580, but I think that with one you should be able to play games on Ultra. I was reading on internet and it's one of the best graphic card now.

You should be able to play games on Ultra untill this on next year. For the next years I don't think that you'll be able to do that. :)

But, as I said above, my opinion for now is to buy a water cooling, maybe you should for grahic card. I'm sure that next year Nvidia will release much powerfull graphic card.

StalkeR.

But will i need to get new watercooling for the new card, or just a new block? And how long after a new card released will it taketo get the block that fits that card?

Neither... Your current 580 is one of the fastest single gpu's around, so pointless needing another.

And watercooling is pointless unless you are looking to overclock your gpu to an inch of its life, which again is pointless, and just used as a willy waving excuse! (That means showing off to you not in the know lol)

Lol yeah I'm a fan of the corsair all in one systems.

Be warned though you'll probably need another rad, bigger resivoir and probably a stronger pub if you plan going full hog :) its a lot of faf! They doo a all in one water cooler for gpu's as well, but not under corsairs name, erm.. Can't remember who makes them (and corsairs) someone will correct me lol

I saw those, but the dont look that good, and arent as effective, and i can fit a 240 rad in my pc easilly, and can sqeese a 360 one in just, but will take allot more modding

Ok, I decided the get a new chassis instead, so I am looking at the Silverstone TJ11, except for it being very xpensive, all the reviews show it's a great chassis. I plan to watercool it so I was looking at some kits, I found these:

-RAD = Black Ice GTX360 or Black Ice GTX480 OR the XSPC RS360 Triple Fan Radiator.
-PUMP = Monsoon D5 Premium - Black with Black Face OR X2O 750 Dual 5.25″ bay Reservoir Pump
-Cpu Block = XSPC RayStorm CPU WaterBlock
- GPU Block = DD-GTX580/570 Black Chrome Top and Copper Base...
- Liquid = Feser One Non Conductive Cooling Fluid - 1000 ml - UV Blue

PLEASE
tell me if this is a good setup for water cooling, are the duel reservoir and pump como's good or is it better to gt seperate pumps and reservoirs and so on. Also PLEASE change any of the brands I chose, I only chose them cause I can get them now and some basic google review searches liked them. Any feed back on this will help allot.

Thanx

Seconds graphics card would create alot more heat, also...

The con is that games sort of need to be designed to take advantage of multiple video cards. You won't see much improvement otherwise (or the game might crash if you force it to use both video cards). Also your motherboard must support multiple video cards. Crossfire and SLI are not compatible with each other, so you need to decide which route you're going right when you're choosing your motherboard. Also, you need more power to run 2 video cards, which means a more powerful power supply.

^ Try posting your water-cooling setup here or here for some quality feedback..

In fact, just browsing through those sections should offer some insights.
