What's up with Waterfox?

I regularly have to go into Options/ Advanced/ Network/ Clear Cached Content to get pages to display properly.

From time to time pages will display with just simple text...no images etc...like a failed webpage load. The solution through trial and error has been to clear the cached content.

I never remember having to do this with Firefox...maybe once in a blue moon.

Anyone know what is the problem here?

Code for code, Waterfox is Firefox, just compiled for 64-bit. So it would be something within Firefox. I use PaleMoon64 which is based on Firefox code but with additions and subtractions. I, too, have noticed frequent errors during browsing recently. I use refresh or retrace my steps and try again. Sometimes these methods work and sometimes they don't. The person behind PaleMoon has complained that Firefox changes have come fast and furious. One would have to dive deep into reams of documented changes to sort it out.

Well whatever it is it's unacceptable...I'm having to manually clear the cache 7 times a week or more.

Might be time for Chrome or IE or something that works better

You can have it clear the cache every time it closes. I've been running Waterfox for just a couple of days now. So far it's been running great. I had been using Chromium snapshots. So I have that as backup.

It's a trade-off. If you use Chromium you run lots of processes. If you use Waterfox, you use lots of ram. But I do like it that I can use SyncPlaces again. There's a new version 5.10 done by another author who is picking it up. But it's hard to find. Searched yesterday for an hour and I couldn't find it again. Had to copy from my other machine.

The way Chromium syncs your bookmarks is insane. If you delete a bunch of bookmarks while not logged in to the sync, as soon as you log in, it puts them back! It's like they are deliberately trying to drive you crazy. Whereas SyncPlaces you just sync Up or Down to avoid merge.
