way to not display the built-in admin account

is there a way to not display the built-in admin account from the "manage accounts" list? Also, i set the password and set so you could not change the password. However in the manage accounts list i'm able to change the password and/or remove it. don't want that.

please advise.

The only way top hide the real Administrator account is to disable it as follows:

Open a Elevated Command Prompt: How to open an Elevated Command Prompt in Windows 7
From the Command Prompt, type net user administrator /active:no and press Enter.

How did you set the password so it couldn't be changed? Post a link if you were following instructions.

Thanks for reply. I set the flag "user cannot change password".

I had hoped this could be locked in and another user could not go in and change password. Seems to be allowing this.

From what I can find, that only applies to Active Directory on a Domain which you don't have. Hopefully sdomeone else has an idea.

I don't believe "user cannot change password" is a valid setting for an admin account. But really doesn't matter anyway. Anyone with an admin account can change the account properties and password for any account, including the Administrator account. That is in the nature of an admin account and cannot be changed.
