Weird graphics: GTA SA

Hi, thanks to sygnus21, i can play NWN on my new PC

But now over to another game i have: GTA SA.

It works, but the graphics are terrible! Check this image to see what i mean:

When i turn on the lowest res the weird graphics go away. With low res i cant enjoy the game as much as i would in FULL-HD.

I have been searching around for information on how to solve the issue and so far ive learned that the latest SA-patch might solve it.

I tried to install the patch exactly as the readme says, but this msg comes up:

Am i doing something wrong or could it be that the game already have the latest patch installed? (Just bought the game)

I love NWN but i really want to play this game too, so please help me out!

Just go through graphics settings one at a time, and see which one produces such weird results.
Last I heard, SA didn't work at all in Win7 xD

The game works on win7. Its just my PC thats weird

yea the game is Windows 7 compatible

maybe a search of Take-Two support will have some answers

You need to change it to 32-bit

YOU CHANGE THE RESOLUTION UNTIL IT WILL SAY SOMETHING LIKE 1440X900-32bit.

I'm familiar with the PC version of GTA SA.. did you by any chance install the no disk hack? That will cause any patches to fail

Thanks for the necessery information! You guys suck. Only cuz u two are ugly as hell doesnt mean you should put your agressions out on someone that just want help making a game run properly.

Anyway. The THING is that i want to ONLY play the game in full-hd so no other options are possible for me. AND. Neither of you guys has answerd my main question. To make it clear so even idiots can understand:

Im asking how to install the patch and why its not working. So, does your puny, irrational little brains understand the question?

greentwig, regardless of your offensive post (which was reported and will be removed) I went one step firther and installed the game myself.

The game was produced in 2005. That's 5 friggin' years ago. Full HD is impossible. The best I was able to do is get a resolution of 1680x1050 instead of a full HD of 1920x1080 and regardless of Jacob's unfriendly post, he is right. You need to set a proper resolution which will can display all the graphics in 32bit colors instead of 16bit and the problem of washed graphics will go away, but full HD is impossible... And IMHO even with 1680x1050 resolution the graphics still look awful.

You have to set your resolution. for example 800x600x32 I bet you have the resolution seted at 16 bit screen.

Try this...

Update Directx click here to download it.

Open the installer and it should start the update process.

Once finished, launch the game and go to: options, then Display, then advanced.

Now at the bottom should be an option called resolution, select the one you want to use but make sure its 32-bit, hit enter so select it.

uninstall the game your at the very start of the game so saves shouldnt be a problem

install the game again patch the game right after you install it the reason why you cant it looks like you are using a no cd crack/patch which makes the game go without the cd and the patch checks to see if you have done that or not

after you have patched it if you want to play it without the cd/dvd you have to find the same crack i cant tell you here against forum rules i think
