I'm still having the Welcome Screen hang, and it seems like each time it happens, the errors in Event Log are slightly different and I've tried a number of things.
They all seem to be Network-related, though... anything from Network Inspection Service, to Windows Antimalware, sometimes it's DCOM errors having to do with different things connected to networking things.
The weird thing is that these Welcome hangs only happen once every 2-3 weeks, and when it happens it takes 5, 6, 7+ boot attempts (I've tried cold boots and restarts from Safe Mode) and suddenly the computer will boot fine for 2-3 weeks and then it will throw its tantrum again.
I'm not even sure where to even start because of how wildly random the Event Log Errors seem to be, and how it seems like it's a different service each time a boot is attempted.
The windows installation is not even 3 months old, and it started doing this like 2 weeks in. I've checked my network hardware drivers, even downloading them from another website thinking that perhaps it could have been a driver problem, but no dice. I've tried removing everything unnecessary from startup.
Just don't know what else to even try.
Really wish Microsoft would have some sort of debug startup where it displays each service as it tries to load (similar to how it does in Safe Mode, but one that goes all the way to having the UI ready), that way you'd know the exact one it hangs on....
