Solved Welcome Screen Appears After 15 Min.

Hi. I was hoping someone could help me solve this annoying problem.

My Welcome Screen comes up after 15 minutes of inactivity, but when I turn on my computer it doesn't show up but goes right into windows. I have tried everything to stop in coming on after 15 minutes & have surfed the net for hours trying to find a solution. I read a few articles where people had the same problem but there was no answer.
Is there a way I can disable the Welcome Screen in the registry? Or is the solution in the Policy Editor?

I'm assuming you've gone into your screen saver settings and unchecked the appropriate box?

Are you referring to the logon screen?

And yes I've tried that among many other things. There must be something in the registry I can change to disable it?

I love a good problem but this is driving me crazy.

Hello David, and welcome to Seven Forums.

In addition to having the screen saver password disabled, double check to make sure that you turn off requiring a password on wakeup to see if that may be the culprit.

I solved it. What I did was turn on my screensaver & set it for a 1000 minutes. No more Welcome Screen! I'm using a modified copy of Windows 7, so I presume it's some kind of glitch in that copy. I've used regular Windows 7 discs & never had that problem just by turning everything to 'Never' in Power Options.
