Windows Media Player is a part of the Windows 7 operating system but you may have to enable it under Programs and Features > Media Features. This tutorial should help:

If for some reason you don't like Windows Media Player, you can always download VLC from the VideoLAN website.

Windows Media Player can be downloaded from here:
Download Media Feature Pack for Windows 7 N with Service Pack 1 and Windows 7 KN with Service Pack 1 (KB968211) from Official Microsoft Download Center

Be sure to select the x86 version if your OS is 32 bits.

Media Player is not included in N versions of Windows which are sold in the European Union.
