My current pc is a custom built gaming pc but i got some older ones which are a emachines desktop which i upgrade to 2gb of ram from it use to be 512mb with xp but now has windows 7 with xp in duo boot. Had a HP desktop but the power supply blew out and got another one that i got for free from my friend and it has xp with 512mb ram but i added the old 512mb ram from the emachine i wasn't using and it has 1gb of ram now and is running xp pretty good.Let my brother have that one pc after i made it at least 1gb of ram. He seems to be enjoying it and said it runs pretty good.

DIY. Every brand name computer I ever bought, I returned to the store very quickly.

It depends on the pc you buy. I have seen failed oem computers. I have had some OEM computers that have never given me any trouble.

Lol are you sure you didn't take a pic of my room by mistake the Boxes add up after a while don't they

ATM 2 custom built AMD rigs by me one Fx 8120 other phenomx4 925 and one Hp Lappy i maxed the ram on dual core e-450 amd with discrete graphics well worth the 350.00 now if i got a ssd that would be a nice boost hehehe

Definately invest in the ssd! I put one in my laptop which isn't powerful at all, and it is so fast now!

Windows XP as a gaming-box, but is currently running Win 8 as a stand-
alone install.

Acer TM420 TravelMate laptop....dead.

Acer AS5735 laptop. Currently running Windows 8 upgrade over Win 7 Ultimate.

Acer AS8951 laptop i7 quad, 8gb RAM, 2gb GeForce. Windows 7 HP 64-bit.

Oh, and I still have my Commodore C64 and an Amiga A500.

Of course he gets the hand me downs, apart from the last one I'd already got my Windows 7 machine set up and he needed a new one but it turned out he got the 64 bit whereas mine was 32 bit, mind you I got the new Monitor 22" so he had my 17" both wide screen.
