What Games Are You Playing? [3]

I'll give a look since i already have a game with uPlay...The steam keycode should by alright. i'm just afraid of having to redownload the all game if uPlay ask it too.

Yeah! Just a Cause had done the same to my stomach...going up & down then finishing by a good headache!!!

Lol you guys should play it in stereoscopic? It's wild in 3d.

I only have 40" 3D TV and that is downstairs in the living room always wanted to try out my PC there but that involves a lot of hassle :D:confused:

Nvidia 3d tv play is crap anyways 24p only at crysis 3 no thanks lol. Same for just cause 2 it requires you have it at only 720p which makes 3d look really bad if your tv is 1080p, you really need a 3d monitor unless the game is thinking ahead like trine 2 ( asks you to just run the game SBS ect. and then your pc just runs it like so and you tell your tv to manually go SBS or OU) nvidia, ati does become a factor.

I picked all 3 new PS4 releases.
Dragon Age Inquisition, Far Cry 4, and GTA V (haven't played GTA V yet, was waiting for next gen)

I played a few minutes of FAR Cry, and liked it, a little of GTA V, but will be playing DA first. Just started it.

Your awesome for reading this.
I like my PS4 alot. I find myself gaming on it more than my PC.

The only thing though is plan to upgrade your HD ASAP. You're going to need the HD space and 500GB isn't enough once you start getting a decent size library built up.

Even if you only plan to buy physical discs and no digital purchases at all you'll still need it. Since the PS4 installs all games to HD, disc and digital alike, it eats up 500GB pretty fast. Especially since most games are 20-50GB.

I upgraded mine to a 2TB. You can do it fairly cheap too.
Just grab something like this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ILALU9G/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

There's a 2TB Samsung Spin Point inside. Its easy to take apart, just go slow. Just clips around the edges.
Remove the HD, and upgrade your PS4. Then put the PS4 drive back into that case, format it, and you have a 500GB external drive.
I used my 500 external for my Wii U,.

This is probably the best way to go in terms of storage space and cost.
Its faster than the stock drive, but not as fast as a SSD, and not far behind a 7200RPM drive.

You can get better but it'll cost more with not much more performance gain. 7200 RPM drives add more heat to, so thats something to consider.
And SSDs just cost to much per GB to justify the gains over one of these (That is not much gain on a PS4 to justify it)

I find myself so busy recently I barely have time to play anything. I snatched a couple of hours of Warframe and Garry's Mod last night, but that's about it :/

Sometimes I wish I could just make money off playing games like the YouTubers lol

Far Cry 4 is amazing. Got it on release day and I've already put almost 30 hours into it. Spent 6 hours playing it the other night without doing a single mission. Got distracted hunting and taking down cargo trucks.

UPlay was pretty bad the first day...seemed like it got overwhelmed, but it's been good since. I would highly recommend FC4.

It's amazing to me how Ubisoft can put out two AAA games in a week and have one be great (FC4) and one be seriously broken (AC Unity).

Thanks for the feedback. Every since they moved from the original Far Cry concept I've stayed away. I tried Far Cry 2 a few months after it was released and never finished it. Simply didn't like it.

Steam had a deal last week where you could get the Far Cry franchise pack for like 10 bucks, obviously minus FC4, but I passed.

Anyway I'm currently playing Dragon Age: Inquisition which I'm loving. I just put in about 4 hours today, and so far I've got 8 hours total though I started late last night.

I don't know... Origin seems to be working fairly well seeing it's been around since June 2011. It's not as robust or as popular as Steam, but I don't see it going anywhere.

As for DRM schemes... you're never gong to stop anything 100 percent, just like you're not going to stop thievery 100 percent. All you can do is lessen the losses.

And in that respect, something is better than noting... and these seem to work a whole lot better than nothing ;)

My two cents.

My two cents.

You've got a point...I just wish they could come up with ONE service. It really sucks having 4 different services (Origin, UPlay, Steam and Battle.net) installed on my computer that have to launch depending on what game I want to play.

For example...I bought Assassin's Creed Unity on Steam. I click on the ACU shortcut and wait for Steam to update and launch...which then launches UPlay which usually has to update...which then kicks me back to Steam.

I'm lucky if I can start actually playing the game within five or six minutes of double-clicking the shortcut. That's a bit ridiculous.

I certainly do agree that all these game managers is a bit much. If I had to choose just one, it would be Steam. They've been around a long time and they know how to run a game manager.

I guess some of the game companies don't want to pay Steam for their services, whatever they may be. I know EA had a hissy fit about the way Steam handled their DLC's thus they moved to their own service, and basically banned them from selling anymore EA titles. I think it started with Mass Effect 2 and subsequent game titles from there.

Not watching because I haven't really started Evil Within yet and don't want any spoilers.

But overall, what do you think of it? It looked promising from what I did play.

I have a pretty big backlog right now :(

I just finished Lords of the Fallen and now on Dragon Age Inq.

Lords of the Fallen was OK, and for those who loved Dark Souls may be worth a look. For those who do not like the Souls games, don't bother because they are ALOT alike. Its quite obvious where Lords gets its inspiration.
It had some good concepts, and in some ways a bit better, but overall it falls short of expectation IMHO. But it can be frustrating at times. Combat feels clunky sometimes and smooth other times for example.

If you are interested, I wouldn't pay full price for it IMHO. Ok game, but not worth 50 or 60$$
I may actually replay it though, as a Warrior. I finished as a Cleric and didn't complete all the optional content or get all the collectibles.
