Had about 45 minutes at WatchDogs last night and I'm bleeding awful at it. The coppers kept killing me and I can't sneak up on anyone. This game might last me longer than Skyrim!

I'm guessing you're near the start, so you wouldn't have much unlocked.

Use the cover system to sneak. if it's taking down a criminal just make sure you see the probabilty and only start to move at the 80-90% mark. It goes goes from 21% to 95% real quick.

The cops aren't GTA types. Becoming a vigilante (good guy) helps with reducing the amount of cops. Level up to unlock steam pipes, helicopter disabling to help escapes etc.

Stand up GTA fights you will lose. It's GTA -esque, but not GTA. Except for online free roam.


If you really struggle, head to the water. Only the chopper can cahase you and once you unlock th disabling skill, you're untouchable.

I totally agree about the TXAA chap, I'd listed the settings I'd tried a few days back by mistake. I'm using 2xTXAA and HBAO+ Low as it was maxing out my Vram. I'm just gaming on a single 1080p monitor for now so my Vram usage is around 2.6-2.9Gb. The game runs great now and the only freeze/stutter I get is while driving but its only minor and not a problem. I will give the Max buffered frame x 5 a try though as I'd only tried 1-2-3 so far.

And I also use the -disablepagepagefilecheck cmd line switch

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to much that can be down about the driving and the only time I've found it to be a real nuisance is when being chased or racing through the heavy part of the city where there are a lot of lights.

Good to hear you've found a good performance/IQ trade off.

The -disablepagefilecheck cmd line is supposed to force Watchdogs to not use the page file. Apparently it is supposed to help reduce stutter/lag. Tbh, I don't how effective it is. I've just left it enabled.

Finally! Hopefully it will also include some Pc only content as well. (And not take as long to patch it to a playable state like GTA IV

"Spintires" after playing it for a while and realized how addictive this Simulation is.. I wonder about the Developers and want to applaud them for making something that I never experienced before! The Terrain Deformation and how realistic it looks the water waves how accurately they react when you pass through it.. the vehicles in it and how nicely they are done and you can even see there tires how amazing they look! Amazing just Amazing... Other game companies should learn from this game how to make a game that has so much more to offer in just little size lie 600 to 700MB size of game files..

Well i don't know where you see anything unlocked you just drive boat on water the end...

Things to unlock:
-Ripples on water when you fire bullets into water.
-Reflections yes there are none maybe were playing vampire(don't mean water but windows etc).
-Real shadows now we have nice static ones.
-Realistic car damage and driving physics what we have now is a joke.
-AI that is at least a bit smart for year 2014 but who im kidding it's imposible to fix.

Game is broken and not finished no mod is going to fix it.

Oh and this mod can be raplaced by fxaa injector,sweetfx or custom enb so it's nothing great.

It runs fine on medium but that's not why i HAD butthurt guess no point in explaining to people with no dignity who eat any crap developers sell them...
