Is Witcher 2 worth buying?

Definitely. Such a fantastic game, better than the first.

I'm playing it right now.

The Witcher 2 is worthy of RPG of the year or even game of the year. But I'm pretty sure Skyrim will win by default..

I love the Elder Scroll series but I get the felling that the media, and all these media websites will be catering to Bethesda and Skyrim this fall.

I followed the instructions to the letter.

Is your game Legit? Errors regarding file tampering, are caused by cracks, if im not mistaken. Or it could just be a faulty installation.

I don't do piracy, all my software is legal.

Normally altering the .ini file should not cause any issues.
Since every configuration is slightly different, its the best & only way to tweak a game to run the best on a particular system.
And it doesnt actually alter the game .. So I am a bit confused.

It would seem reasonable a crack would cause it. But if the game is indeed legit, thats certainly odd.




Hopefully others may have a better suggestion, but ..

Perhaps it has something to do with the origin of the game?

I got mine through STEAM, and this works with it.

But I do recall seeing some say, set the ini to read only after the changes are made. Maybe retail versions or EA versions are slightly different.
This may be worth a try.

Bloodlines is a great and underrated game! One of my favorite PC RPGs.

Have you tried it with the community patches/mods? The community patches make the original game SO MUCH better and enjoyable with out altering the core game play and story.

Tremere and Gangrel are my favorite clans.

Yea Its alot of fun Id love to see a remake of this game TBH.

Im using the UP 7.5 ATM, just the basic patch, with the res fix.
I actually had to have a patch. Game would give the memory error without the fix, and would not start.
But the patch, and res fix has its running quite nicely at 1080P. And with x16AF and x8MSAA it looks pretty decent too.

Im playing as a Malkavian. They are no doubt insane, and some of thier responses are quite entertaining.

"You must be taking to someone else. We are not here"
I think mine actaully likes rats though .... she said "Pass the salt for my rodent feast!" rather than gripe about it in the beginning. Was the only response too ...

Doesn't give much confidence though when you talk to a quest giver and thier first response is something along the line of ...
"Oh crap, you're a Malkavian too. We're screwed." or "What the heck are you babbling about?"

For a little while i played : Wot = World of tanks Download Client :: World of Tanks: MMO Tank Action Game
Its a compleatly free game.
great graphics, gameplay, detaljs etc.
Had/have lots of fun with my friends, and unknown`s there

minecraft, Minecraft , the graphics are not so great, but it`s an amazing game.
It cost`s €14.95!
Its worth all the money!

I picked up Divinity 2: The Dragon Knight Saga, since its a weekend special on STEAM at the moment for 19.99.



My first impression was a bit of disappointment.

A lack of good AA for one, and jaggies drive me nuts.
And secondly, the graphics. They are decent, but not what I was expecting from a newer game.
Also, the voice acting itself is not bad at all, but the lip sync seems to be a bit off.
All this together made my initially think the game was going to be a lemon.


But I stuck with it a bit, and after playing the game for a while, the whole initial impression just lost all importance.
The AA no longer bothers me after getting used to it, and the graphics are not that bad at all once you get used to them.
They are nothing amazing, but not horrible either.



It seems to me to be a Oblivion/Dragon Age/Gothic hybrid, and is in a 3rd person perspective.

Its a open world RPG that doesnt hold your hand, and give big way points to the next objective on the map etc.
So talking to everyone, and exploring is needed.

Combat is action oriented, but fun. just takes a little to get used to the controls, as with any game.


Lots of customization too. From armor, wepaons, spells and abilities, to your playstyle.
For example, my character is primarily a dual-wielding Warrior, with a bit of Summoner.
Lots of possibiliies to build your character how you prefer to play the game, much like Oblivion offered.


Well worth the $20 if you like these types of RPGs.

If like me, the initial impression will be ... "Meh" but after a while, it starts to really grow on you and pull you in

It certainly has its flaws, but .. the gameplay itself more than makes up for its shortcomings IMHO.
