I guess it's a kind of PE?
Even if I've uninstalled 7 it's still there.is the uninstallation incomplete?
And,where does it reside in my hdd?How can I delete it?
Thanks.
No,I can't see the partition in xp setup,xp,or third party software.but when I load the Norton Ghost Environment,it has the win7 font and background.
The Ghost shows 3 local disk,a dvd,and a x: (boot). It seems it's not just loaded into the ram.Should be somewhere in my hdd.
So I feel confused.
I think this small allocated parition is a built-in feature of the HDD. Been only small, it could be used to store drivers pertaining to the HDD. i see this little partition from my seagate USB HDD. You don't need it and it's annoying. I don't know if you can merge this space to your main storage, maybe partition magic or something like that can do it.
What kind of computer (you should fill in your system specs)?

I'd tried partition wizard but it didn't show up.
Partition Magic is not compatible with nt6 partitioning rules. Avoid.
DD has problems with 7 from numerous reprts.
Partition Wizard, although free, is excellent and fully compatible with 7.

How about Paragon Hard Disk Manager 2009 - any read on that yet? It has full partitioning tools and backup image compression, which my Acronis 10 and 7 Backup Imaging don't.
What I don't see anywhere is how to save or restore just one partition. A little help?
