WHEA-Logger Event ID: 19 "A corrected hardware error has occurred"

I've just noticed frequent "A corrected hardware error has occurred" warnings in my event viewer dating back to October 16th of this year. As of now I haven't come across any performance issues or anything like that though.

I'm getting 2 different errors, with different processor IDs (0 and 1)

Here's my processor, and general PC Specs, the machine came packed with Windows 8, but I downgraded to 7 Ultimate SP1 x64.


AMD A8-5500

TDP: 65W

Operating speed: 3.2 GHz (up to 3.7 GHz turbo)

Number of cores: 4

Socket: FM2

And if it's of any value, according to Speccy my PC temps seems to sit in the mid-high 50's, with Jumps into the 60's and low 70's.

Thanks for the response, but reading through the thread, it seems as though it's designed more for people identifying errors caused due to overclocking, where as I haven't made any attempts to overclock this system, and the errors just came out of nowhere.

If your not having any freezing, lagging, or any problems at all, I would say ignore it.

Its normal to have some errors in the event log, as weird as that sounds. ( I know)

Although it talking about the processor is worrying.

You could try running a program like prime 95 and stress test your system. There are programs to run basic tests on your cpu as well if your concerned.

Thanks for the response and the opinion, I tried running Prime 95, so far it's gone through 6 tests with no error messages so I guess that's a good sign? (screenshot)

Is there any particular CPU test you recommend?

EDIT: I let it set longer and got "Self-test 1024k passed!" for each core, and also repeated the same test with the "Torture" setting, and got the same results.

If you ran prime 95 for that long, and no errors or restart happened you are fine. And so is your CPU.

Ignore the event viewer error.
