when I set my PC to best appearance in the advanced settings, it keeps changing to "Choose what's best for me" after every reboot.

Hello Codbarrels,

Usually it's when you make changes in the Ease of Access Center and apply them, it will reset your Visual Effects setting back to default.

Are you getting a user profile error?

You might see if doing a system restore using a restore point (if available) dated before this started happening to see if it may help.

Hope this helps, :)
Shawn

The only thing I changed was sticky keys, turned completely off. The only problem I am having is not being able to keep "Best Appearance" mode from the performance options, it just goes to custom which is random things unchecked (same as let windows choose)

It'll only stay on "Best Appearance" if all items stay checked. If you change anything, it will be considered "Custom" instead.

Turning off stick keys would have reset Visual Effects afterwards.

Are you able to keep what you wanted checked if you use "Custom"?

Did you disable any of the options using any other method?
