Out of curiousity, why did you want to remove the 100mb System Reserved boot partition?

Were you even aware that it puts the Repair console normally only available on the DVD or REpair CD on the F8 Advanced boot tools menu?

Next time ask for the steps to do such things here as we've helped hundreds of users with complicated repartitioning and boot recovery operations here without failure.

No, all computers were from Microsoft bought licenses. Not OEM ones, the actual two disk packaging.

The system reserved partition has nothing to do with the repair console. I have 8 machines running win7 without sysres and they all have the F8-Repair your computer option.

The F8- Repair your computer option needs two things to function- the RE files and bcd entries that link to those files. The RE files are automatically installed during win7 installation, the bcd entries for the F8 option (if not already present) can be created. I know of at least 3 methods to do it.

Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times

First you have to create a Primary partition named "System Reserved" with no drive letter, then run the 3 separate startup repairs to (re)create the Windows System boot files the new SysResv partition.

The "create" link will show you how to create / format a partition.

Well, i changed all the systems and they all match. The "Active" is in the System Reserve section and that one computer with the unformatted system reserve section is done and good to go.
