Coke is better. Pepsi will make you so that you will want to munch the grass on the same side of the fence. So stick with Yamicsoft!

I have tried Tune Up Utilities and it does way more harm then good. I guessing Yamsoft is just as bad.

If you want a proper cleanup/registry program use CCleaner. It's well respected on these forums. Plus it's free.

BTW just my opinion.

+1 Certainly have the ability to bork your system. Use with care to say the least.

I prefer Coke myself... It's not as harsh on the palate.


Back on topic....

I was a user of Tune-up Utilities back in my XP days, and used it a bit when I ugraded to Vista. While it seemed to do OK with XP, I can attribute the registry cleaner aspect of the program to at least 2 reinstalls of Windows Vista.

I haven't looked back since. When I feel the OS is getting to the point of no return with too many program uninstalls, I load a vanilla image of my install. Everything is as good as new in 10 minutes.

I didn't like TuneUp Utilities, because it was too aggressive and heavy on my old XP. Replaced it with CCleaner.

None of the above, learn how and what things are yourself and then decide if it is a change you need or want to make. Can find lots of tips and tricks on optimization and "tweaking" here,
