Solved Which partitions do I actually need?

But honestly, I can't thank you guys who answered my questions enough. Sorry about making it so long but I like to know what I'm doing before I do it, and Greg- sorry about asking questions to which the answer you have already posted, I really appreciated your patience with me. And again, thanks to everyone who answer my questions.

This software is not showing up on the Support Downloads webpage for your model, so apparently HP is aware of the issue and was able to provide it for you.

For now I am adding this in the Special Notes for HP Owners in the Clean Reinstall tutorial:
● Problems with volume control lighting and HP Quick Launch buttons have been dealt with here where you can also get further support.

I'm glad you got it resolved, and thanks for reporting back.

Well, at least as a result of this long thread now people know how to sort the button thing out if they have the problem. BTW, there is also a wireless button, which turned red when it was turned off and blue when on. This didn't bother me tough, as wireless is always on, so that sorted that out as well. Thanks again for your help.
