Can anyone hazard a guess as to which pci-e card to create usb 3 sockets, might use the TI XHCI Host Controller (Texas Instruments USB 3.00 Host Driver). I'm getting crashes as follows:

"This was probably caused by the following module: tixhci.sys (0xFFFFF8800F246A85)
Bugcheck code: 0x50 (0xFFFFFAC019FED6C8, 0x0, 0xFFFFF8800F246A85, 0x5)
Error:
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
file path: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\tixhci.sys
product:
Texas Instruments USB 3.0 Host Drivers
company: Texas Instruments Incorporated
description: TI XHCI Host Controller Driver"

I have two pcie cards and I'm trying to work out which device is using the Texas Instruments Controller. I attach a list of usb devices from Device Manager.

I am trying to work out which hardware is using this driver. Thanks

Great. Thanks. Can you say which item it is the list of usb devices above, please? Incidentally, I have run Driverview and that does not show this particular driver so far as I can see.

The Motherboard Manufacturer or the Computer Model Number is where you would find the Driver required ...

TUSB7340 USB - Texas Instruments

Thanks. So it applies to the motherboard (the controller) not one of my pci-e cards? Sorry to be dumb about this.

I'm not sure your motherboard use the Texas Inst USB 3.0 driver...the motherboard specs list a NEC Chip controler (4 x port(s) USB 3.0 at rear and middle).

You could try to unmount the PCI-e card and have a look at all the biggest Black Square material soldered onto the PCB of those PCI-e cards. It should mention which one have a Texas Inst Chip....

Thanks, NoN. That makes a lot of sense. The two usb controllers built into the motherboard use Intel and Asmedia chips as far as I can see. There are two pci-e cards with usb 3 and they seem to carry Fresco and Via chips. So how Texas Instruments come into it is not clear to me. I think I'll do what you suggest and remove the usb pci-e cards and see what's left in my device. I'll also have a look and see if I can find the chip manufacturer on the chips.
