Being somewhat biased I would say Linksys by Cisco.
Have found their product & service /support excellent thus far.

Any router you buy should support Gigabit speeds and Wireless N speeds so when you upgrade your computer(s) in the future your router will already be capable of supporting those technologies. I have two Win 7 computers, both with Gigabit network connections so I upgraded to a Belkin N450 Wireless N+ Router

Linksys has similar routers available. I think it's a mistake to buy a new router that only supports B/G (10 and 100Mbs). That's only my opinion of course. :)

Modem Upgrade...

If you are upgrading your router do you suggest buying a new modem? I have a 10 year old modem for my DSL, I have purchased a new Router should I also buy a new modem, or is this a waste?

Thanks

Check with your ISP and see what a new modem will do for you. 10 years is pretty old, maybe you can talk your ISP into giving you a new one because the one you have is so old?????
