Solved Which to choose - Blackberry or iPhone

Having digested all your comments I've settled on the iPhone so if my grandsons don't show me how to use it I'll be back on here begging for more help!

The iPhone is pointed for people of all types, all walks of life
THe Blackberry was aimed for mainly business people, although the BBM feature has got to be really popular

Though everybody had given their opinions on Iphone vs Blackberry, another excellent alternative would be a smart phone with Android OS (a google OS). If you have not purchased the phone yet, then this option is worth considering...

Samsung has good models, Galaxy SII, Note etc. Even other manufacturers are offering android phones like HTC, Motorola etc.

Thanks for that rraod, I haven't bought the phone yet because I've got a vague suspicion it might be a Christmas gift.

However, I'll research your suggestions then drop a few hints when I've finally decided which one to get although I really do fancy the iPhone.

If you do decide to get the iPhone, I can give you a few pointers, I'm a bit of an iOS fan, and I can also show you how to wirelessly sync your iPhone to iTunes and also sync it with outlook and stream your photos to your PC through iCloud

Ive had several iphones, and i just dont like them. Just feel restricted the whole time.
Plus every 6 months they seem to bring out a new one, making your version redundant..

Plus i like having a phone with a decent battery life, i was charging my iphones my about 2pm. My BB lasts 2 days easily.

However, I get the impression that a Blackberry is more for a work-based use and as I'm retired would I get any real benefit from its instant messaging capabilities and suchlike?

unless your going to sit and play angry birds all day you wont benifit from an iphone either.

im not a business man, just a humble store manager. But i love my blackberry, even if its just for its phone and email elements!
