white color is too bright

Hi.
I am new here and new in win7. I came from xp.
I found high contrast theme very usefoll since my vision is very impared.
Only big problem is that this white color is too bright for my eyes and causing me such headachess. I reduced all brightness on graphic card and monitor but it is still bright. On normal themes is everything ok, until i open browser. Then all pages are "normal". But I cant see nothing.
Please help me with to fix this.

try to play with different themes(find in internet/google), rather than trying to fix just a single color
