Why ALL the files not copying from the internal SSD to external SSD?

I want to backup about 95 GB of photos and documents on my internal SSD to my external SSD which shows 392 GB free of 465 GB, before replacing it with a larger SSD. I have them arraigned in four different folders. The folder I call Documents and properties says it's 15.2 GB with 9,927 files, 664 folders. After I did a Copy and Paste of this Documents folder to the external SSD, properties says it's 13.9 GB with 3,928 files, 236 folders.

Why aren't ALL the files and folders being copied over?

It could be permission or files locked in use use built in robocopy thats very fast and will only copy files that are not on the drive and you can get a report if you can use cmdline get the free GUI Download RoboCopy GUI - MajorGeeks
