Why am I still receiving Win 7 Pro updates as of today?

I have done a basic search but see nothing, I had assumed no further updates after the cut off date, but two desktop PC's here with Win 7 Pro on them continue to receive updates post the cut off date.


I also see updates relating to Windows Defender are not installing for months is this because i am using Kapersky and following their instructions have turned off Windows Defender?



Will their eventually be an iso that includes all updates right up to the last available offered by some clever and kind person here to make loading it a one off experience?

There was a problem on some machines with updates released in Jan. Maybe it is offering the fixes ( which have since been released by MS ).

There are two bit versions, 5 consumer editions ( Starter, Homebasic,HomePremium, Pro and Ultimate ) and many languages.

That is a lot for a kind person to do and upload.

I just got another WU notice. I dont understand WHY they're still wanting to install updates on W7 at all.Playing games is not nice even if they are needed. I just do not trust MS at all.

I just got another WU notice. I dont understand WHY they're still wanting to install updates on W7 at all....

That KB3185319 was issues Sept 16, 2016. Either for some reason your Windows Update thinks it has not been installed yet, or that it has been damaged and needs reinstalling.

If you have Windows update set to receive Microsoft updates, then you will receive updates for other Microsoft products installed on your system (such as Explorer or MS Office) as long as those products are still supported and updated.

Ok. I do have my windows update still on but for updates I chose to have installed. I didn't really care about the updates after January 14 anyway. I just ignored it. I think I will turn it off now.

I upgraded to W10 Pro and thought I would be ok but then that darn BSOD showed up one morning and I was so ticked off. I couldn't get in my computer at all. I had to take it to a tech friend and HE couldn't even get in. SO he took my hard drive out ,tested it, all was ok with it, and he asked which OS I wanted put back, and I told him W7 Pro. NO MORE 10. That was a nightmare.

Wish they would have left 7 alone and just let the people that want to keep it, keep it.
