Solved Why Doesn't Windows 8 Allow Metro Apps on Low Res?

I was wondering: Why doesn't Windows 8 allow you to use Metro UI apps with a resolution lower than 1024x768? I have a netbook with 1024x600 and I don't know what the difference would be.
