Why is my event viewer showing 400 booting errors?

Hello folks, here is my problem, i have recently just looked at my event viewer (never have b4 as i have had no need to) and it is showing that the past 400 boot ups have an error/warning or say critical. Although i have never encountered any problem during use i found it quite worrying when i saw this. The event i.d is 100 on all of them. Any and all help is much appreciated thanks.

A quick google search reveals this error to be windows 7 detecting a degrading in system performance and boot time. This is typically caused by having to many services and startup programs enabled.
Does your machine take a while to start?

Using method three from this guide,

Hey Andrew thanks for ur reply... I have always disabled all startup items in msconfig for a quicker boot and it is still the same, as for the startup folder in the programmes it is also empty. But i am not necessarily talking about slow boot times a lot of the time my bootup is reasonably quick (30-50 secs) and i am still getting this error msg.

Your awesome for reading this.
I have read some where that a anti virus or firewall can cause this problem. I don't remember where.
Could the times of events 100 correlate with the instillation of your protection programs.

Another questions:

1.) In event viewer can you check to see if under source if there are any mentions of disk critical or warning errors?

Click source, scroll for what feels like an eternity, and check to see if you have the work disk under source anywhere at all.

2.) PC is not lagging or acting strange in any other way? A tad slower then before? Anything at all?
