Hi, seems a lot of people are having this issue. Mine is a bit different, I think. Most are finding their missing space from old files and the like. In my case I had an winxp sp3 and up it to a win 7 home premium OS. I had a 500gb total drive knowing the the OS will use some granted. My 500gb hard hard went to a whopping 187gb. The windows.old has been removed but those are just files why is my HD space now 187.?? instead of 500gb minus what the os uses?
Is this an driver issue with win 7 not recognizing the ata ide HD? or bios ? Right clicking on computer is showing the 187gb and there has been no HD issues as of late

It sure is a 200GB drive. Well, at least you know where the space went. It's on the missing 500GB drive :)
