As said earlier, its a full touch screen smartphone and the screen is bigger than most of the common cellphones hence the battery will "obviously" drain, however, It lasts for atleast a day.Not worth. :huh:
Really?
Did I lie about something?
Did I mis-inform?
Am I wrong?
I have never needed to change my cellphone battery. 1 battery is enough for me to do all the things I want on my cellphone.
"Non-standard proprietary cables" ??? What??
Blessing of the vendor?? iTunes has 2 millions apps. More than any freaking smartphone on the planet. Huh!
Ability to remotely wipe out apps is IMHO, a nice feature for those who are concerned about their privacy incase they lose their phones. No other phone has this feature.
Tied to a store= More apps to play with.
One carrier?? That may be the case only in U.S. Not in Asian markets.
I dont know why you jerk about commercials
On the other hand, I m not praising the iphone. Just my 2 cents
Truly,
Dinesh.
Well... I see some are in denial...others are backing up my points..
Let me expand/clarify..
Any device needs to be charged more than once a day...FAIL.
===
Pretty obvious.
Any device that wont let me change the freakin battery or insert a spare...FAIL.
===
Whether you 'need' it or not...Many do.
As mentioned, I carry an additional battery for my BB. Rarely have to employ it because my battery lasts for days.
iphone batteries are 'perma-locked' Hehehehe.
Well..I suppose you could crack it open and replace it yourself, but I think that violates the 'mighty Job's' dictates.
Any device with non-standard proprietary cables (and charges a fortune for spares)...FAIL.
===
Yes...proprietary cables. Of course I mean that goofy iphone interface.
My BB on the otherhand, and many other phones can grab a charge of any common/standard USB type b to mini-b cable.(Or micro b for some of the latest phones)
Heck..I've charged my phone off my NUVI GPS power supply in the car! It uses a standard mini-b 5pin output.
An Iphone cable? Cheapest ive seen is about 20 bux online.
Any device that needs the 'blessing' of vendor to offer software...FAIL
===
Apple store. Thats it. Free or not, you have to use their services.
BB on the otherhand, you can just install raw .JAD files. Heck, I can install BB apps from my personal website.
Any device that has the ability to remotely wipe out apps that 'they feel' shouldnt be running on the device...FAIL.
===
You DO know about apples 'blacklist' right?
Jobs confirms iPhone app blacklist feature
Straight from the horse's mouth: Apple's iPhones do indeed have the capability to check for, and potentially defang, software that Apple deems unfit for the iPhone.
Apple CEO Steve Jobs confirmed the existence of the so-called "kill switch" capability, following last week's ruckus over early reports of just such a function. The word from Jobs was tucked at the bottom of a story in The Wall Street Journal about Apple's hot-as-a-pistol first month of sales at its App Store.
The intent behind the capability is high-minded, Jobs said. Apple would need it in case a malicious program inadvertently were to be distributed to iPhones via the App Store.
Perhaps some feel the need to have a NANNY watching their phone.
Me? Not so much.
Nor do I want a vendor to suddenly 'decide' some app 'isnt good for for me'.
Apple has already blacklisted 'non malicious' apps.
Any device inherently tied to a 'store'...FAIL.
===
Obvious.
Any device that uses only one carrier...with long term contracts...FAIL.
===
BB..well..ATT, nextel, sprint..etc..
Choose your phone..choose your carrier.
I like CHOICE.
Any device that has ghey silhouette commerials....FAIL.

Dumbazz ad campaigns dont impress me...Heheheh
I hope this clears up my earlier points.
