Why won't Windows Experience Index run?

On my Win 7 X64 Ultimate installation the Windows Experience Index will not run. I get an error stating multimedia support is missing. Running ASUS EAH5670 video card with Catalyst 10.1 drivers. I see no reason why this "benchmark" should not run. I can run Prime95, LinX, Everest and other benchmarks with no issues. If anyone has some insight on this I am very willing to listen, thanks.

If this is a clean install, update all your drivers starting with chipset, then run it again - is that a 5670 or 5870? Use the drivers guide in my sig.

Thanks I think my card is bad and sending it back via RMA will try your suggestions first though.

Update - after 2 1/2 weeks of troubleshooting, 2 motherboards and 2 video cards later - I went to Technet and searched through the forums there. Found a thread asking about what version of Windows 7, and that N & KN versions of Win 7 come sans media support! Needless to say this was the problem I was having - I installed Media Feature Pack (Windows6.1-KB968211-x64.msu) and WEI/WinSAT score worked fine. My overall score was 7.7 and was glad at finally getting results. Posted this in case any one else has a brain fart like I did.
