Wild guess.. videocard, during Crysis

Ok sorry but another question/addition.. my Dell U2412M came with a CD (you can download too, it's the same stuff)
On it is an install for some power management software Powernap for the screen Now when you install that it also installs some Entech API What the hell is that and do I really need it..

The only way to really find out if you need it is to not install it and see if it causes problems. Software for the screen is sometimes necessary to prevent the screen from causing crashes related to the graphics card, but I have only encountered this once during my time on these forums.

I would suggest that you not install it as it is probably just bloatware. If you have issues related to your display afterward, then you can consider installing. Most of the software that comes with computers these days is useless, and many of the gurus on here just remove it (which is actually what I do) or do a clean Windows install so they do not have to deal with it.

I don't touch Dells anymore due to a bad experience, so I'll have to ask: What does the Entech API do? Does it interface with Power Nap at all?

To be honest.. I have no clue The powernap puts your screen in dim or sleep mode
Eh the entech I once googled and come up with barely anything.. just that's from some Taoiwan company also called Entech
Im just going to uninstall the Entech

Documentation leads me to believe Power Nap needs the Entech API interface to run.

Btw.. on advice I have installed 275.33 Nvidia drivers Who knows they might fix my crysis problem

Ok scratch what I said.. Ive updated the exe files of my game through securom's diagnostic tool and I hope they will work better

Stupidly enough I think this game might get fixed by deleting the savegames (and mayeb run as admin plus comptability)

So you tried that and it works? Any chance the saved games were corrupt? I had a game that kept crashing to the desktop once due to a corrupt save file. I would move my character just a fraction and it would crash. I deleted the save and replayed to that point and had no problems thereafter.

It was. Bugcheck 0x116, TDR Error.

Ok well i just had a pointless drive to the shop So I will have to check each card separately yo see if there's issues I guess

Don't worry.. these games are prone to crashing from what Ive been googling
