Will my win7 key become a win10 key if i decide to update to windows 1

I was wondering how the upgrade to win 10 will work and if i have to ever reinstaill will my windows 7 key work for a reinstall of windows 10

That level of detail is not clear yet for the "free" upgrade.

You can always buy Windows 10 outright and avoid the problem.

what are they planning on charging for each wein 7 version, im alwase broke and the free offer for upgrade is very tempting for me

I'd avoid it entirely unless you have some red-hot reason why you have to have it. Win 7 will be supported until 2020.

I'll probably go with it, but only because I'll be building a new PC.

Every Windows installation has its own Key - you will be allotted a Win10 Key when you do the upgrade.
