Will this build work?

Is there any particular reason you are buying that particular power supply?

In one post, you say you "actually haven't looked at it".

In the next post, you say "it looks fine to me".

So, I'm confused why you chose it rather than some other random PSU.

I think it's a Channel Well product and wouldn't be my choice.

Leaving aside whether you need a 1050 watt PSU.

Of course if you believe in "future-proofing", there is no limit to what you might want to justify or what your reasons might be.

You can easily find out the probable power requirements of that PC.

A system very similar to yours, same processor, 32 GB RAM, and one of those video cards, uses 375 watts at full load and 163 watts at idle.

Yeah sorry about the confusing posts. I didn't make this whole build 99% of it is from duncan33303 and I didn't check the PSU.

I'd relax and take a few weeks to do some reading and research on your own, rather than listen to some unknown doofus on youtube.

The chances of you needing 32 GB RAM is near zero. The chances of you needing 16 GB of RAM is very small.

The chances of you needing Windows 7 Professional is small.

The chances of you wanting all of those items may be very high. I don't know anything about you.

I know you won't need 16GB of ram soon I want to have it though. I may or may not buy w7 professional I may buy home premium or ultimate I don't know yet. I probably won't be able build this for 1-2 weeks anyway so I have some time to research.

Yeah......revel in the first time. You will second guess yourself and when you go to fire it up for the first time wow!. Most here will build the system on the box the mobo came in and just make sure the system will boot to a bios screen. Then they'll build it up inside the case. I've never done that but it makes a ton of sense and I'm actually thinking of buying a test rig just for the purpose. Go slow and read the mobo manual and familiarize yourself with the components before you begin. Then realize that you will likely want to go back in several times afterwards and clean up your wiring or add/do other mod's. Take a ton of pictures with the close up setting and record the event. I take pictures of all my builds and believe me I've referenced them many times and they're fun to look at. The biggest help I can offer is that using good common sense, having a working computer near by so you can hit SevenForums, go to Mfgr's. sites or Google things is very helpful. Relax, breath and enjoy.....it turns out what you thought was so complicated is like a shroud being lifted and the rush you got building this 1st rig and booting it to a start screen will be like a drug and you'll want to do it again.....even for friends! .....enjoy, have fun and I wish I could be there to offer more help and tips.
