I have a licensed copy of windows 7 Pro 64 bit running on a laptop.
I tried to upgrade to Windows 10. Everything went smoothly - having installed updates etc etc and I thought all was OK, until it rebooted. I was running the update from a bootable USB and I left the USB connected while it was rebooting. It then asked did I want to install, so I clicked on that. Should I have pulled the usb stick out while it was shutting down, before restarting. I think so.
