Decided a long time ago to stay with win 7. In January tried to update to win 10. Install failed. Now I get windows not genuine. In Ctrl Pan Systems Activation shows: Status Not available and Product ID Not available. There is no "Change Product Key" option. Says non-core system.

KB971033 not installed. slui gets 0x80070422 error. My product key is in register. How to get back to before win 10 fiasco? Thanks.

Hi Cwwest,

Please re-install KB971033, there is no reason to uninstall it on a genuine system

REBOOT TWICE

if this fails to turn your system genuine please run the tool from here
