Sorry but it is such an old scanner that that the latest driver from microtek is XP. Have you tried installing the XP driver in compatibility mode.?

To do so right click the installer>properties>compatibility> check XP

PROBLEM SOLVED: I downloaded the software for the Microtek ArtixScanDI 1210 (win 7 64-bit), unzipped it, BUT DID NOT INSTALL IT, Instead I manually updated the driver only for my X6Uby pointing it to the unzipped D1 software, Scanwizard 5 ran without a hitch.
