Well... I couldn't wait so I installed it last night. Less than 45 minutes from the time I put in the dvd until I was logged in and installing programs. Windows even found the right driver for my ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 video card, which was supposedly a problem in earlier builds. The only problem I'm having right now is that Windows can't seem to figure out the wireless card. It's an Intel PRO/Wireless 2100, which Intel stopped supporting sometime in 2005. I think I found a driver for it but won't be able to try it out until tonight.
I connected the laptop directly to my router, hit Windows Update, and it found the right driver for my wireless card! Woo Hoo! I'm psyched now. Everything runs great.
