Before you do a clean install of Windows 7 SP1 64-bit in a computer, you should identify its primary devices (chipset, graphics, audio, ethernet, wireless, etc.) and obtain the current drivers for them.
After the clean install of Windows 7 SP1 64-bit is done, you should install the drivers.
The chipset driver should be installed first before installing the other drivers.

Your "My Computer" specs need to be brought up to date so we have access to the description of your computer and what hardware is in it.

Win 7 did not load my newtwork and other drivers

What is meant by a clean installation? Isn't using the win 7 system disc with activation considered a 'clean installation"? Also, please tell me how i can download the recommended updates if I cannot get on the internet after installing win 7? I'm writing this with my other os, win 10 on another hard drive in the same desktop, and again, there is no problem with the internet there

You say your desktop computer has 2 separate hard disk drives(HDDs) and has Windows 7 installed in one HDD and Windows 10 installed in the other HDD?
That's a good way to do it and is how I have my 4 desktops set up.

Windows 10 is good about including device drivers during the install process, but Windows 7 is not.
That's why you need to obtain the device drivers before you install Windows 7.

We don't know the identity of the devices in your desktop, so we can't assist you at this point with obtaining the necessary drivers.
Please provide the exact identity of these components in your desktop:

These are the listed device drivers for Windows 7 64-bit:

Realtek Gigabit Ethernet
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/lan/Realtek_LAN_XPWin7-81-10_V792115_838115_5832211_102703.zip
(version 7.92.115.2015)

D-Link DWA-131 Wireless
http://files.dlink.com.au/products/...WA-131_E1_Windows_V5.12/DWA-131E_V5.12b02.zip
(version 1030.25.0701.2017)

Realtek High Definition Audio
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/...io_XPWin7-81-10_V6017443_51007440_6017503.zip
(version 6.0.1.7443)

AMD Chipset / AMD Graphics
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/misc/utils/AMD_Chipset_XPWin7-81_V809160_512015.zip
(version 8.0.916.0 / 14.502.1013.0)

All of these driver files are in .ZIP format, so you need to download and save each one in an empty folder.

Once you have done that, unzip/extract the contents of each .ZIP file inside its respective folder.

Once you have done that, install each driver in the order that they are listed here.

Double-click the AsusSetup.exe file to start the install process for the ethernet and audio and chipset/graphics drivers.

Double-click the Setup.exe file to start the install process for the wireless driver.

Good luck!

I certainly appreciate your thoroughness in this matter. Just wondering how did u come across this info cause I would like to know for future references, if need be? BTW, prior to reading your latest post, I took upon myself the neglected MB disc which has all the drivers of that period. I did mentioned this in my Post #1, but no one took up on it. Of course, some of those drives have to be updated. Do you think the ones you have shown are the latest updated drives?

I found the chipset/graphics and audio and ethernet drivers at your motherboard's support site.
I found the wireless driver by Google searching your wireless device.
All of those drivers are dated 2015 - 2016, so there likely are updated driver versions for all of those devices.

After you get your computer running okay and have all devices working okay, go into the Device Manager and make use of the "update driver" feature of each of those devices.
If an updated driver version is detected, Windows 7 should download and install it.

Thank you...I assume you went to Asus site and had better fortune than I. Everything is better now as far as those drivers, but i had a problem with the network. Now, I believe this is because of having OS's on separate hd's. Win 10's network was just fine, but when i was tweaking in win 7 to get the internet, it turned out that it screwed up internet now in win 10...so I resorted to my phone and it was just fine with wireless, and as final check i went to my slow win 10 notebook and the internet was fine also. A half hour later i turned on both OS's and now they are able to get to the internet as proof me writing this Win 10. ...so the idea of having separate os on separate hd's, could be a thorn in one's side. When i had both of them on one hd, i have never encountered the problems that i have had now. Another party told me to make sure i disconnect one HD, when working on the other....that is a bit frustration, plus leaving the rear cover always off in order to do that ...there must be a better way.

All 4 of my desktops have 2 separate SSD's and are set up to dual boot Windows 7 and Windows 10.
Windows 7 is installed and set up in the first SSD which is connected to the SATA-0 port.
Windows 10 is installed and set up in the second SSD which is connected to the SATA-1 port.
Windows 7 is set as default, so it always loads, unless I select Windows 10 when the boot menu appears.
You must have done or configured something differently to be having the issues that you are.

Win 7 drivers

The updates all came back as is....they 'are' the latest drivers for win 7....after 5 yrs, no later drivers? Ok, i guess, as long as its working. As for your setup with dual OS, are you saying connecting them consecutively makes it easier to dual setup? I did not set it up, the repair man did.

There is without a doubt more up-to-date drivers.
But if all of the devices in your computer are working okay, don't worry about updating them.

What I previously said is how I configured my 4 computers to dual boot Windows 7 and Windows 10.
That setup works fine for me.
