Win 7 Homegroup – PC fail to discover some hosts on the network

I have recently established a new network consisting 8 PCs all using win 7 home group (I am running Win 7 64 bit Home Premium )

I also installed AVG, Adaware and Zonealarm on some of the PCS

My problem relates to the fact that one of the PCs is having difficulties seeing & connecting to some shares and printers hosted by the other PCs and yet it can see others e.g In Win explorer I can see some of the host PCs but not others and likewise when I try to connect a printer or a share hosted on the missing hosts they do not appear in the list for me to pick and yet other PCs on the same network can see the missing hosts and their related shares and printers.

One added clue is the fact that the problem PC was working ok on the network till such time that I had to replace it due to hardware failure (i.e. new mac address & I assume new IP for the same host name) I suspect that the hw change is not related to my current problem since I had to replace two PCs and only one of them is experiencing my network discovery (is that what it is called?? problems

I would appreciate any advice you may have

It's important to point out that all those A/V software's may give you a good sense of security but they also will cause endless problems with sharing. I would uninstall completely every last one of them and use Microsoft Security Essentials instead.

After that I would leave the Homegroup from every machine then create a new Homegroup from your main PC and rejoin the new Homegroup from all machines.

You will want to leave the main PC turned on through out the procedure.
