Win 7 Install USB3 driver error

Hi, just installed Win 7 Pro 64bit.

Gigabyte GA-F2A88X-D3H mobo
2 x 4 Gb cosair RAM (mobo recommended)
AMD A6 5400K 3.6ghz APU

After a whale of a time installing, blank screen after 'loading files' starting windows I got 'stumped' and installed Linux Mint via USB, went in like a flash.... I decied to have another bash at Win 7 installing still blanked screened, even after waiting half an hour as was advised, for some strange reason I plugged a HDMI lead in to the TV.... lo and behold Win 7 was waiting for me to input the keyboard & language etc - this page wasn't being displayed on the VGA monitor - as soon as I click 'enter' the VGA monitor sprang back to life!

Win 7 is up and running with drivers installed except USB3 driver controller which is 'yellow flagging' and NO USB3 activity, keyboard and mouse are on USB and USB 2 sockets are fine - any help please?

I have tried turning USB charge OFF in control panel and tried using a PS2 mouse without luck, I tried the mobo install disc and downloads from Gigabyte site.

Linux Mint USB works fine and dandy so I put this down to a driver issue. Thanks, Dave

It doesn't have built in usb3 drivers. You can get them from driverpacks.net

Not sure if you're using a usb3 device or not ?
But at any rate you might consider connecting your front case usb3's with one of these
Give yourself more usb2 connections

Every driver you need is on the motherboard CD, try again.

The error is confusing me-:
'Windows found software driver but encountered an error to installing', then underneath 'system cannot find the file'.

The USB3 blue sockets ARE working on Linux but not Windows 7, the USB2 sockets work fine.... so it's clearly a driver issue be it on the mobo disc or Win 7 DVD disc, which is a genuine copy.

What the message could be telling me is, the driver pack has been found but not the relevant USB3 controller.

Wasn't there an issue with getting USB3 to work on windows 7?

Hi,
The drivers on the disk are probably pretty old you should get new drivers for just about everything from the mother board manufactures website.

Try downloading the drivers to your >>desktop<< then update via the Browse> let me pick, update settings.

Sorry, Mouse and keyboard USB and USB2 are working fine on Win7 but can't install drivers for USB3 devices, needles to say USB3 are not working.... USB2 and USB3 work fine with Linux Mint, no problem here.

The error I get when installing from the mobo dvd or downloaded files from Gigabyte is-:

I've tried loading them from the desktop and still can't install the drivers.... I've tried using a PS2 mouse on the multi PS2 socket whilst disconnecting the USB keyboard and mouse. There are two yellow flags in 'other devices', they are not in the usual USB places. Hope that clarifies.

I don't want to go installing files on Win7 until I've installed all the drivers, this is the only problem I have that is holding me back, thus I'm running Linux Mint to get me by. Thank you for the interest shown,

Another option. Sometimes I have had to do it in this fashion.

Move your downloaded driver from Desktop to Documents. Then try the method torchwood gave in his post #9. Select the driver you just put in Documents.

I have never used a Gigabyte motherboard but I'm thinking the driver should be on the motherboard CD as AddRAM has suggested.

Those errors showing up in Human Interface devices??, thats where most USB3 devices are.
