Microsoft Security Essentials 4.10.209.0 is the antivirus app that I've used for several years in Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit(up-to-date to April 2020) because it's light-weight and very user-friendly.

As long as it keeps providing definition updates, I'll use it.

Not just definition updates, engine update too. MS say they will continue until 2023.

Microsoft will continue to release signature updates (including engine) to service systems currently running Microsoft Security Essentials untill 2023.
