Hey everyone,

I've done some PC hardware updates 1 week ago. After that I installed 64 bit version of my Windows 7 Ultimate and my microphone get very silent. I had no problems with my microphone before with 32 bit version. I only changed my MB, CPU, RAM and from 32bit to 64bit. I have maxed my mic in Windows and Realtek HD, but it's still very silent than before, please help.

Try going to the Start Menu > "Search Programs and Files"> Type: Sound > Sound

Now click on the "Recording" tab. Now select your preferred input device and click "Set Default". After that, click on properties. Now go to the level's tab, and adjust the levels to their desired locations. My advice is to only use the Mic Boost slider if you really need it. Using it will probably make your voice distorted and hard to understand.

Hope this helps,
