Win 7 Update error code 80070103

Been having this same problem with trying to install intel driver for moblie intel 965 express chipset family for my dell latitude 830 laptop. Windows update makes an attempt to install driver but it continusly fails. Same problem with the last three win 7 versions including 7229x64. No problem when I had vista on this laptop. As a result I'm stuck with having to use default video controller drivers. Drivermax did not help.

Try a program called Radarsync, install it and follow the instructions, it might help you .

NO LUCK With Radarsync either. System will not accept new driver. Keeps reverting back to windows default video driver which can't even run a simple screen saver because its not direct3D compatible. Windows update is still waiting to update the driver but it fails every time I try to update.

I too have the same Error code

When I do Windows update :

AVerMedia A317 Mini-Card Hybrid Analog/ATSC
does not install & gives me Error

find out what device it is then uninstall it completely from device manager and try then. Note down what it is so you can go to manufacturers website and get drivers from there if microsoft cant sort it.

Robearl2x have you tried any of the drivers avalible on the windows update catalog? Hope maybe you can find a fix here. Fabe Microsoft Update Catalog

I cant find it in Device manager or
in Unistall programs list

@lordvader. You could try installing the driver form the windows update catalog as well. When ever possible it is always better to go directly to the device manufaturers site for your drivers., rather than using windows update. Fabe Microsoft Update Catalog

i just rolled back the driver an then was able to install the update on my asus machine
