The Libraries/Pictures used to have shortcuts/pointers to where all of my JPGs, etc actually were on the C: drive. That way since new computer delivered in January and Win 7 Pro 64-bit initialized and I migrated my JPGs from an XP computer. Somehow, for about a week now, the only pointers to pictures are only to "Public."
Total mystery as to why I now have to navigate deeper down in the Win Explorer listings to first see a populated "Pictures" directory, following many other lists of directories.
At first, in January, I failed to see the convenience of Libraries, but then I got used to the idea, and now I want it back!
I searched and found references in these forums to default libraries, and I right-clicked on "Libraries" and saw the "Restore Default Libraries" option, and selected it. That did nothing. The Pictures listing is still there, as it always has been, but none of my many directories of my JPGs are listed; just "Public."
How does a user pin, as it were, pointers to his directories of his JPGs to the Pictures listing under Libraries? (They used to be there.)
I searched these forums on "Libraries" but so far have failed to spy a relevant reference, other than the one about "Restore Default Libraries," which is for me off point. Not saying the answer isn't in the forum already, but I missed seeing it.
To sum it up briefly, for the first nine months or so of my using this new Win 7 computer, Libraries included listings of my directories/folders of my XP-migrated JPGs and my newly added JPGs as I took more photos. Just since last week, there is now a listing under Pictures of only "Public."
