Win7 32 Pro update error 8007000E

Hey all,

I am experiencing error 8007000E when attempting to run windows update on a fresh install of Win7 32 Pro. I will attempt to list the steps I followed in your thread and the results.

1. Installed a fresh copy of Win7 32 Pro on a clean partition

2. Acivated the copy of Win 7

3. Installed the NIC drivers

4. Installed and ran SURT
- SURT installed KB947821

5. Ran SFC /scannow
-No problems found

6. Ran windows update
- It installed "new windows update" and restarted the PC

7. Ran Windows update again and received error 8007000E

I've attached the CBS log file as requested. Thanks for any assistance you can provide :0)

I would start over,
Before you start download KB3083710 and KB3102810 in advance, and store them on a flash drive
Start and complete the install without an internet connection
Immediately after install is complete
Manually install KB3083710 and restart.
Manually install KB3102810 and restart.
Change your windows update settings I used Check for updates but let me decide when to download and install
Unchecked Give me recommended updates the same....

Restore the Internet connection and Activate windows
Then launch Windows Update search
After about 5-10 minutes you should have plenty of updates to download and install.

Another thing is if you see this update make sure it is not installed with any other updates
It needs to be installed all by it's self
It was not uncheck automatically which caused many others to fail to install

I would also install manually net framework 4.6.1

I can't thank you all enough for the assistance. Now I'm just sorting through the updates that installed and the ones that didn't. I have the "check for updates but let me choose to download and install them" option set.

It looks as if several security updates didn't install. Should I let all of the security updates install?

Also I've blocked 7 of the 9 Win10 upgrade updates. I can't seem to locate the other 2. However none of them installed when I checked via the hotfix search through powershell.

Yea they "the other 2" may show up later
Keep an eye out although all to date have been in the Optional section so they can be for the most part ignored
Focus on the Important ones
If you missed this one and it was installing with others it would of likely made some others fail to install

I would yes load all Important ones windows gts a tad cranky if they are not or are hidden.
