hello everyone!!!

i have problems updating to sp1 with the error 0x800b0100 so i asking for your help!!! i attach the checksur.log file for you..

my error codes are these:
800b0100 windows update found an unkown error
80073b01 windows update found an unkown error
80070103 windows update found an unkown error

i hope you can help me thanks!!!

I'll post a fix for that first...

The SFC scan was incomplete - or at least the data in the CBS.log stops dead part-way through it.
We'll worry about that after we've got CheckSUR happy.

I've uploaded a file - hlwaa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
Please download and save it.
Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…
Extract to the default location - which will create a new folder hlwaa in the same place.
Open this folder - there should be two folders inside it (Manifests, and Packages)

Copy the content of the Packages folder to the folder

C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

And the content of the manifests folder (.manifest files) into this folder:

C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests

Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.

thanks for the help

i downloaded the file but inside there are sonly some files named packages.xxxx so i put them in the packages folder and run the checksur again here is my log file

Sorry about that - I was in a hurry this morning!

The files don't seem to have achieved the desired result, although they are the correct ones.
Please open an Elevated Command Prompt, and run the following commands...


DIR C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

post the results...
Here are some instructions to make life easier
1) To open an Elevated Command Prompt Window (the ECP window), click on Start, All Programs, Accessories – then right-click on Command Prompt, and select Run as Administrator. Accept the UAC prompt.
2) To run the commands easier, highlight the block of commands, and right-click on the highlight – select Copy. In the CP Window, click on the black/white icon at top left – select Paste. The commands will run but may not complete the last command, so hit the Enter Key once.
3) To copy the results... click on the Black/White icon in the top left, and select Edit... 'Select All', and hit the Enter key - then use Ctrl+V or r-click+Paste to paste it into your response.

It looks to me like you downloaded the wrong file?
The file you need is hlwaa.zip
YOu appear to have downloaded something else.

..and did you copy the CONTENT of the folder to the correct folder? (I do seem to have missed out creating the Packages folder somehow - but the files need to go into the CheckSUR\Packages folder anyhow)

CheckSUR at least is happy now

Please run an SFC /SCANNOW and post the new CBS.log (compressed) - there may still be issues that need fixing.
If the SFC results say 'no integrity violations' then try Windows Update again.

i can not upload the cbs file because it says access denied, but i tried to update to sp 1 and voila!!! it works!!!! i feel my pc a little slow ut i think its for the recent update so i want to thank you for all your support!!!!! i mark the tread as solved!!!! thank you!!!
