Win7 x64 build7100 ends up as Win7 x32 build7000

I've moved to x64 in an attempt to get past the memory limitation. Apparently there are other issues involved as I'm now finding out.

Thanks Cyberwolf, apparently, as I'm finding out, this issue is not so cut and dry. What I've read is that the 64-bit OS and hardware have overcome the 4GB limitation...sometimes:mad:. It must have to do with your MB...of course, the quad-core can't hurt either:p.

Okay, here's part of the explanation from the I-45C MB manual:

Memory
• 2x 240-pin DIMM slots support up to 4GB*2 capacity
*2 Due to the chipset limitation, the actual memory size may be less than
4GB for the reservation of system usage under Windows XP and
Windows Vista.
