Couple of questions for the experts here....
Windows XP's Screensaver [custom] had some very nice touches that do not seem to be replicable under Windows 7. If one had a photo selection, under XP that set could be used as a slideshow for screensaver, and the images would be cycled in a 'corner to corner' fashion [nice little touch], and the Images would all scale to the full dimensions of the screen. Under Windows 7 options, I can setup a personal slideshow... no problem there, but:
1. I do not see ANY options for how to display transitions from one slide to other.
2. The images do not scale to fit the screen. They display in some predetermined resolution & scale that I don't see any user-adjustable settings for
3. By Default, when using such a personalized Screensaver, I get a rolling banner across the bottom of the images, Displaying Date and Time. How do I shut that thing down?

All help gratefully received! :geek:

To reassert my questions:
- Where is the control of that scrolling banner? I know where its not... its not in the Windows 7 Screensaver settings - its some other widget
- Don't care to use M'soft's pictures. We like our own photos.
- Is there a way to cause the slideshow images to scale up to full screen?

You can use all your own photos if you want. In the "personalize" box where you select your photos, at the bottom where you see "Change picture every:", look to the left, you'll see a box marked "fill options". This is Windows asking you how you want your photos to fill the screen.
Don't know about your scrolling bar.

Have You?

Right click desktop select "personalize" click on desktop background. The lower left corner has some settings for that.

Question

Have you got a NoActiveDesktop in your registry?

Path HKey_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Policies\Explorer

If so what value is it set to?
