Has anyone have see or hear anythink about blueray codex

this codec pack is the best 1 I have ever seen....but have some issues in making of thumbnails in the windows explorer....sometimes explorer stops stops working and some times it takes so much time to make thumbnail..!!...but this problem is getting fixed day by day of new releases of codec pack...this is the problem mostly faces by .flv file format

phoenix404, you should not be having any issues with thumbnails. Here is a post on my forum about getting thumbnails working for all formats. There is specific information for MKV's but the instruction for clearing the thumbnail cache will help improve all thumbnails.

I also released version 1.3.0 today. It adds support for Optimfrog audio and has several updates in the settings application. Past users should uninstall the current installation before updating to this release.

The win7codecs by shark are completely trustworthy. You should submit that file to eset for their examination so they can update their database.

MalwareBytes said the same thing. Obviously there is something in the codecs from Shark both ESET amd MalwareBytes does not like.

I'm not saying don't trust them, but it bothers me to have something on my machine that both my anti virus and anti malware program don't like.

Personally, I simply installed VLC now. No codecs required, no problem.

The false positives are triggered by the software I use to create the settings interface.
AutoIt Script Home Page. Many of the detected malacies even have AutoIt in the triggered name.

The fact that a few antivirus companies are unable to come to grips with this scripting language having many positve attributes is not my issue to resolve. I have submitted my uncompiled code to ALL the major antivirus players and AVG and McAfee are the only 2 that have cleaned up their detection. Even still, It sometimes takes McAfee up to 48hrs after a new release to update their detection. At least they're on top of it. Eset has done absolutely nothing.

The other companies are, IMO, just not worth your effort to continue using if they cannot adjust thier software detection to avoid tagging false positives when they have been provided with the author's raw code to analyze. Most of these antivirus softwares maintain some kind of exception list and all it takes is a few moments of your time to add my software to this list.

I have no intention to stop using AutoIt. The settings interface i have created is absolutely awesome and makes codec manipulation a one click resource allow any filetype to be played in Windows Media Player and in Media Cener on both 32bit and x64 platforms.

And that is fine Shark. I simply don't want to deal with anything being reported on my system, so I have made my choices as well.

The fact that I have found players that don't require the installation of any codecs works very well for me, so all is good.

I want to thank u for your awesome codec pack.
I have been using it since i start using windows 7 and it works just gr8.
My question is:
As u keep updating to get eaven batter pack for us, i have to resetup every time my configs like cores, audio 5.1 , DTS DECODER 5.1 and etc...
Is there any way to do the updates but keep the setups ?

Have a look on the Misc TAB.
Then go to my Settings Application Development Forum and
grab the latest available so the saved settings will be compatible with my next full release.
The update installers available from there will also increment your installed version number.

These are DirectShow codecs. VLC is NOT a DirectShow Player.

Any DirectShow Player can use these codecs.
Windows Media Player, Media Center, and Media Player Classic are all DirectShow Players.
If choosing MPC (or HomeCinema) be sure to turn off the internal codecs so that these will be used.
