Window snapping without extra software?

I'm not talking about aero snap. I installed display fusion. I have three displays and I can snap a window to the edge of a display no matter the size of the window. Can you do this from within Windows itself?

I know it is possible, as I have programs on my system that do this - One that comes to mind are the Built in Player windows in MediaMonkey Media system, plus I have seen similar with other programs.

I assume this functionality is written into the actual programs concerned but it is also possible that this is a rarely used Windows API Call, which could also be what Display Fusion is taking advantage of

I found 7 by default wont snap to the edge of a multi monitor setup but wants to move to adjacent monitor unless you are on the outside edge of the multi setup. One of the reasons I have changed to W10 which by default will snap on multi monitors (also the double taskbar function on multi monitors I like)

To snap to monitor edges in a multi-monitor setup, hold down the Windows key while pressing either the right or left arrow keys. If you want the window to be on a different monitor, keep pressing either the left or right arrow key until the window is where you want it to be and is the correct size.

Pressing the up arrow key while holding down the Windows key will maximize the window on the monitor it is currently on. Pressing the down arrow key will cause the window to restore down. Pressing it again will minimize the window (you will have to click on the taskbar to get it back).

As HAVOK, the OP, stated the issue here is not the Aero snap using the Windows Key and Arrow keys or the drag and drop, (which works on the outside edge of the combined area of screens created by Multi Monitor), but a way of doing a similar thing with any size of window as is possible using Display Fusion

That's what I was saying. I use the Window key and arrow keys a lot. I guess display fusion is the only way to do it.

Can't do anything with screensavers (I have the free version). I do like the ability to have three different wallpapers.

If you want Control of wallpapers I use John’s Background Switcher | John's Adventures and it has support for multi monitors, I only have two but I can have various combinations
