Hi!
I've recently migrated to W10 (I've been on W7 for YEARS!, but I can say the change is great), so I'm still getting familiar with it. I have a question related to the grouping by letter that the new Start Menu has. I hate it because I used to have a set of folders related to every type of interest I have (Audio, Gaming, Image, Video, etc). And even worse, the new menu has only single level folder structure, meaning that no submenus are allowed. So every file placed in a subfolder is shown in one single folder, making an ugly mess. So...

- Is there a way to avoid the grouping by letter?
- Is there a way to allow it to have subfolders, like W7 had?

So far I'm using "Classic Start Menu" which is a great option, but it's a little out of tune with the rest of W10's aesthetics.

Thank you in advance!

Hey, Snick! Thank you very much for your prompt reply. I finally managed to install OpenShell instead of ClassicShell (it was working fine, but the new one has some more options). Some info in case someone is facing the same problem I had:

- After unistalling ClassicShell (with Revo) and installing OpenShell, the new shell and its options would open exactly as ClassicShell, with no new options. To solve this, uninstall both, run Regedit and search for "ivosoft". You'll find 1 or 2 keys, delete them and install OpenShell. That should do it.

I hope this helps. Thanks again, Snick!

I always install/uninstall with Revo Pro. Great program. As you are aware, most program uninstallers, via Control Panel leave some to many remnants.

Did you run Revo in advanced mode?

Thanks for the tip on the reg keys.

Snick

Hey, Snick! Sorry for the delay in the reply. I've been unistalling and reinstalling W10 like 10 times trying to take ownership of the C: drive. It finally beat me, and I left it like it is with the annoying administrative privileges warnings.
I had some time to understand the program and what I said before was unaccurate. The thing is Classic style in two columns and Windows 7 style have two different set of options. I found out when I saw some skins with the extension skin7, instead of just skin. So, I apologize for the confusion and let me thank you again for your help.

P.S.: If you have any tip on how taking ownership of the whole C: drive without breaking the OS it would be awesome.
