your best bet at this is to check out taskbar icon packages at a site like deviantART: where ART meets application! you may have to find something similar and see if the artist would mind creating it for you. most are willing to help.

Get restorator : Download Trial Version - Restorator - Bome Software
The trial works fine.

Now goto c:\windows\system32\pnidui.dll and copy that file to your desktop.

Open that copy with rerstorator, and goto icon folder on the left.

Icons #3021 through #3032 hold the icon.
Change it's colours like you want with gimp2 or Photoshop.
Or assign a custom icon to it, by rightclicking and choosing "assign to...".
Now point it to your icon.

When done, click "save" (NOT "save as..." !!) and exit restorator.

Goto the original file in system32 folder. Rightclick it and choose "Take Ownership"

Rename it to pnidui.dll.backup

Copy/paste your newly saved file from desktop to system32 folder

Reboot.

NOTE : if you don't have the "Take Ownership" option in shellmenu, download this regfile :

takeownership.zip

unzip it, and doubleclick the "InstallTakeOwnership" to merge it with the registry. You now have the option in rightclick shellmenu...

I made it for you just in case :

View attachment pnidui.rar

NOTE : this is for x64 only !

Just take ownership of the original file in system32 folder, and rename it to pnidui.dll.backup

then copy/paste the one in the rarfile to the system32 folder.
